I couldn't wait any longer. My FedEx tracking information from Colorware alerted me that my Zune was on the delivery truck and scheduled for drop-off sometime before 5pm. I heard the truck pull up in front of my house and I ran out onto the patio to meet the driver - I hope her feelings were not hurt because I may have ripped the box out of her hands with a bit too much excitement!
When I opened the box all I could do is laugh out loud and cheer for several minutes. My Zune has been transformed into something mind blowing. The only way to describe the feeling I got at first sight of my Zune was like the time when I was 9 years old and seeing a Ferrari at a custom car show.

Colorware uses its X2 Coating technology which is applied in their own custom atmospheric chamber and then cured with ultra-violet light. The intensity of color is spectacular and when you hold your custom Zune in your hand it feels like a totally different piece of machinery than you originally purchased. I love how it feels like a slick hunk of metal and looks like its on fire with its magma orange colorization.
The turn-around time was a mere 16 days from the time I dropped my Zune off at the post office to the time Coloware had it back in my waiting hands. The only bad part of the process was the anticipation! This might be what a parent experiences when you come home from college for the first time after being away that first semester.
I am very impressed with Colorware's services, from shipping to the final product. The Custom Design Studio that Colorware provides for you to get your own custom look is a great web app and my hats off to those that designed it. I had a great time experimenting with the vast sea of color combinations. The hardest part was making up my mind!
One of the most exciting things about my new Zune is the "Wow" factor from strangers. At the bar last night my Orange Crush was the rage with the ladies. One fine young miss vacationing from London said, "Ohh.....my....God! What is that?" Of course, I let her take it for several spins!
My Zune is back, pimped and tricked-out to the max! I LOVE IT! Colorware gets a whopping A++ !!

When you got your zune back, does the new one feel like hard plastic or does it still have the rubbery kind of feel because i liked the way the originals feel but i also want to have mine customized.
